Addis Ababa, November 1, 2012 (FBC) The Southern Regional Parliamentarians submitted a Field Observation Report to the Executive Council of the State Council.

Parliamentarians have been tasked with working to come up to the people of their constituencies twice a year, and present their answers to the regional government’s inquiry into good governance issues.

Today’s field observation feedback is also part of this task.

The selectors submitted a 107-page report to the executive in a review of their views on security, health, infrastructure, structural organization, agriculture, loan repayment, heritage and park conservation, as well as trade and prices.

In this report, parliamentarians pointed out that there are problems in different zones and special woredas in the region, some of which have been resolved for some time, but require permanent solutions.

They emphasized the need for an administrative boundary and the like to avoid land conflicts.

The regional executive, for his part, said that reforms are needed despite parliamentary election problems.

The Deputy Governor of the Southern Region, Mr. Yrsu Yarden, said the state government is working to take immediate reforms in the areas mentioned by parliamentary electors.
